Edit Custom Fields

Objective

To edit existing custom fields.

Steps

Rename a Custom Field

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
  2. Under 'Tool Settings', click the tool with the custom field you want to edit.
  3. Click the Custom Fields tab.
  4. Click Edit next to the custom field you want to edit.
  5. In the 'Edit Field' window, complete the following:
    • In the 'Field Name' field, enter a new name for the custom field.
    • Click Update.

Manage Selection Options for a 'Single Select' or 'Multi-Select' Custom Field

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
  2. Under 'Tool Settings', click the tool with the custom field you want to edit.
  3. Click the Custom Fields tab.
  4. Click Edit next to the custom field you want to edit.
  5. In the 'Edit Field' window, complete the following:
    • To change the availability for the selection options for custom fields that were created with the Single Select or the Multi-Select field type:
      • Mark the checkbox for each selection option you want to make 'Active'.
        OR
      • Clear the checkbox for each selection option you want to make 'Inactive'.
    • To add a selection option for custom fields that were created with with the Single Select or the Multi-Select field type:
      • Enter a name for the selection option in the 'Name' field and click the plus icon (+) or press ENTER on your keyboard.
    • Click Update.

Edit the Field Description for a 'Read Only Entry' Custom Field

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
  2. Under 'Tool Settings', click the tool with the custom field you want to edit.
  3. Click the Custom Fields tab.
  4. Click Edit next to the custom field you want to edit.
  5. In the 'Edit Field' window, complete the following:
    • In the 'Field Description' field, enter new text for the custom field.
    • Click Update.
